Sometimes life throws some pretty awful things at us that we should not have to cope on our own. Thankfully these days we don’t have to.
This is where counselling comes in. It is a safe place which is yours each week to talk in confidence about what ever you want. Sometimes all we need is to be heard and to have someone who is non-judgemental, who listens, is empathetic and kind.
During our first session, we will discuss what you want to achieve and I will answer any questions you may have.
We will look at what you would like from counselling and what you feel works for you.
Generally your first session will be used as an assessment and consultation, rather than for treatment. This allows you to identify your issues as you see them, and for your therapist to start to gain an idea of what your needs are.
